Attracting abundance has become a mainstream desire. For many it means financial wealth, positive relationships, perfect health, a life filled with all that we desire. Since the movie “the secret”, millions have understood the power of manifesting what we truly desire by focussed thought and positive intention. But a large majority of those who have tried to manifest and attract into their life what they truly desire, comes to a quick halt when “tail enders”, negative memories, uncomfortable and hindering beliefs and a traumatic past and upbringing get in the way.
The law of Attraction states that whatever we focus on and think about will be drawn to us. But what if we think that, “yes, I would like to be wealthy, but I truly don’t deserve it?” What if our thoughts are that “Yes, I would love to have a wonderful relationship, but the truth is that true love and commitment don’t exist.”? What if we believe that “Yes, I would like to have perfect health, but I will never be able to lose the excess weight.”?
These “tail enders”, beliefs that were written on our imaginary wall, cause a negative chatter in our mind that can be much louder than the affirmations that we would like to focus on. And they are most likely not even created by us, but by someone or something that consciously or unconsciously had an interest in making us feel less than perfect.
Guess what: They did one hell of a job, as we now manifest exactly what they made us belief!
Every time when we try to focus on a positive affirmation to manifest and attract abundance, the negative chatter gets in the way and we now attract whatever it has to say.
The good news is that there are now techniques available, which eliminate the negative self talk once and for all.
EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques, or “Tapping” is the most known technique of them, and it has shown its effectiveness to release negative self talk millions of times. The idea takes a moment to get used to, as it is as innovative as it is unusual: A gentle tapping on certain release points on the physical body, while thinking about the negative chatter, releases the blocks that are causing it in the first place.
EFT is extremely easy to learn, and does not require insights in psychology or counseling. It can be easily learned and self applied, and there are many resources available online that show its effectiveness.
