Total Pet Health Ear Scope W/2 Tips

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

I purchased a different style/brand of dog ear scope in the past for almost the same cost and it was not worth the few dollars saved. The other brand was hard to use and broke within the first year. This one is made better and works well. read more.

Health o Meter HDL200KD-01 Digital Scale with 1.2″ Display, White

The scale platform is small. I wear size 9 in female shoes and I can just fit my feet onto the scale. Your weight can change in a matter of seconds but so far I’ve only notice a 0.4lb difference at most. Basically it’s not a high tech expensive scale but I like it because it wasn’t expensive, it is reasonably accurate and it gets the job done. I have bought scales that cost a bit more and have the same drawbacks (small platform with slightly fluctuating readings). If you’re not going to spend more than $30 for a scale I doubt you will find something much better because This seems like the standard for this price range. However, My advise is If you have larger feet find a larger platform. We’ve had this scale for a few months now and we’re shopping for a new one. I guess the old “you get what you pay for” applies in this case. The readings fluctuate every time we get on it. We often get on the scale 3 times and take the average of the 3 readings. And because we can’t trust the weight readings, we never use the BMI function either. It’s a small scale and would probably be ok for someone who only weighed occasionally. But if you’re monitoring your weight on a regular basis, don’t buy this one.I recently bought a very similar version of this scale (mine just has a weight tracking feature) and lemme tell you.. it’s totally worth your money. Yes, it’s accurate.. i’ve tried weighing myself on flat-surfaces and my weight comes up accurate. I stepped on and off and my weight was still the same. It works great and I definitely recommend it.I had this. It worked for a month. I only used it 4-5 times then it broke. It just stopped working. its not worth the money or time.Well I’ve had this scale for two months and every time I weigh myself it tells me my weight, my husband tells me every time he uses it, it also tells him his weight although his doesn’t ever fluctuate and mine does so it isn’t just remembering the last person who jumped on it…..pretty impressed for the price and from hearing all the dissappointments people can have with digital scales. read more.

Health O Meter Professional Body Fat Monitoring Scale, Silver

Monday, August 9th, 2010

I just bought a similar scale to this at Wall-mart a few hours ago. The only difference in the one shown and the one I have is my package was red instead of blue and mine doesn’t tell you Bone mass and the buttons are a little different. But the screen is the same and the design of the scale with the metal foot part is the same as well. I can not recommend this scale. I followed all the instructions of putting in my height, age, and sex but it was still did not give me the same results each time I used it. The feature that tells you what body fat % you have kept changing each time I used it. There was a difference of over 9 points some times. I also got another member of my family to step on it and it said we were the same weight. He is taller than I am and much bigger around. Then after using it a few times the quick start feature stopped working. You are suppose to be able to tap it with your foot to make a quick measurement without putting in all the personal data. It worked maybe 2 times that way then when you would try to use it it would not even come on. To take a measurement you would have to hit the select button and go through a user profile to even find a weight. I will be returning mine. read more.
